You Just Can’t Do it in Word …
Don’t spend hours trying to get Microsoft Word to do something for which it was never intended. Powerful though it may be, Word is not a layout program.

I make use of the industry standard Adobe Creative Suite (mostly InDesign) for all my brochure and newsletter layouts — software created especially for that purpose. And still, my rates for brochure and newsletter designs are far less than you would expect from an ad agency. Or, as I like to say, my rates are “dirt reasonable!”
Plus, in regard to tri or multi-folding brochures, you’ll have the added security of knowing that your brochure will be designed with proper fold lines, so that testy printers won’t be scolding you for submitting layouts improperly prepared for commercial print.
